Everything with ACIM started 11 years ago…

… when our coach Ece started
the crew as a Project for integration. Amazingly Luana was part of the
project from day one and and still is a member of the crew! The others
joined afterwards. Miriam e.g. came to ACIM as the nestling ,when she

was eleven, however she turned 18 recently. A similar example is Lina
who got into the crew when she was 13 and graduated from her
apprenticeship just a couple of months ago. So, you can see that there
have been several students who have spent their youth and have grown
up with the crew.

Puberty, the first relationship, school, apprenticeship or studies

Those are all things that one has witnessed with the other crew
members and still laughs about them until today. “ Do you remember
when you still when you dyed your hair pink?” “Do you remember your
…phase?” “ Do you remember the times when you couldn’t stand me?”
“I didn’t even know you where one of my students” “Let’s watch the
shows from 5 years ago!” “Omg! Those were different times, when we
still had Ballet in our shows!” “Look at our outfits! I almost forgot about
them!”
After so many years we know each other: our stories, our phases, the
good, but also annoying caracter traits of one another. How could it be
otherwise if one trains with each other, sweats with each other and if we
think about it, we may spend even the same amount with each other
than we do with our families.

Everyone is different

The passion for dance and the ambition to
grow our abilities, as well as performing an amazing show, is what holds
us together. That’s how humans who are almost complete opposites in
their characters voluntarily spend up to 6 hours a day during the
holidays together. I can say that one thing that I’ve learned, in the time
I’ve been dancing with ACIM, is that ACIM is a colourfull mixture of
characters: emotional, rational, loud and direct, dreamy, sympathetic
and courteous ones.
